Brave New World or 1984

For those that know of the dystopia in 1984, what is worse big brother or the superstate of brave new world? which one do you think we will become or neither. Some i know believe that we will become a little bit of both.

I don't believe we will see any dystopian future any time in our lifetime. I only say this because the world we live in currently doesn't want to be ruled by one person, or allowed to be controlled by a few people. Everyone wants something different, which creates conflict and doesn't unite like the worlds in these novels.

Who is to say that someone wins the the conflict and establishes a superstate. One doesn't have to be united if one power oversees it. Sure there might be conflict but they will probably be put down if they are willing to establish the state.
