Chapter 5 and 6 analysis
Throughout these chapters, I've noticed that there is a heavy emphasis on a very hypersexualized society. For the people in Brave New World, sex has gone from a cultural influence, to an entire part of their culture. For example, the seemingly mandated "orgy porgy" or the way it is considered strange not to sleep with someone the first night you are alone with them (quite contrary to the way things are currently).
The reason for the way Huxley portrays the extreme sexual nature of Brave New World's society could be for a number of reasons. One of which, could be to make Bernard seem like even more of an outcast, and push him further and further out of the social norm. Another reason could be that Huxley simply predicts that this is the way society would become in the future.
